Insurance

BowMeow is an Incorporated Association. As such it is covered by limited liability. An incorporated structure may give the members some protection from being sued personally.

Public Liability

BowMeow does not have Public Liability Insurance. If you are injured at the home of a client or while doing any voluntary work for BowMeow, you can only be covered by Medicare, your own health insurance and/or the Public Liability contained in the client's own home insurance.

If you cause damage to a client while volunteering, BowMeow can be sued but only to the limits of its assets. Individual members cannot be help responsible for BowMeow debts.
